Faiham Ebna Sharif
Faiham Ebna Sharif (1985 – Present) is an independent journalist, photographer and researcher. He is from and based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently, Faiham is pursuing a two-year master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology in Uppsala University, Sweden. Earlier, he had his graduation and post-graduation in International Relations from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He also took an One Year Diploma on Photography from Counter Foto – A Center for Visual Arts, Bangladesh; where he is a casual faculty member.
Earlier, Faiham worked for local and international media outlets. He was a newsroom editor cum presenter in a national news and current affairs television channel. He also worked as a multimedia journalist for bdnews24.com, on assignment basis. Before coming into news media, Faiham also worked for national and international fiction and non-fiction projects like documentary, featured film, reality show and so on.
Currently, his practices are mostly based on long term projects associating research and documentary photography. He is doing a long-term documentary photography research project on tea. His
other projects are on film industry, Rohingya people, people living with HIV/AIDS, climate change, local bus and so on.
